Elder preparing communion today is Ginger Sermons.  Elders serving the elements are Ginger Sermons, Nolan Coggins, Jody Inglefield, and Deb Caywood.  Barbara Walter is today’s worship leader.  Ministering to our children in the nurseries today are Jane Lloyd in the toddler nursery and Robert Lloyd in Children’s Church.   Acolyte for today is Justin Ramsey. A fellowship time immediately follows worship each Sunday.  You’re cordially invited to remain for this special time. Donna and Tom Rigsby are hosting today’s fellowship. 

Preschool News:  Please come by the bulletin board outside the preschool room and take a sticky note off our wishing tree and help us blossom this year.  You may choose any item you think sounds good.  Please leave your donations in the preschool room.  Thank you for doing that for us. 

Next Sunday, September 12^th, we will resume our regular schedule with worship services at 8:45 and 11:00 o’clock.  Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m.  

All confirmands please meet in the Northminster parking lot on Saturday, September 11^th, at 7:30 a.m. for the retreat.  We plan to be back at Northminster at 2:30 p.m.

Thursday Bible Lunch is one-hour of Bible study during lunch and will be led by James Bernhardt. Contact him at james_bernhardt@hotmail to express your interest. 

NPC Wednesday Night programming is back beginning this Wednesday, September 8^th.  At 5:15 a brief Kids’ Club parent meeting is scheduled for the first part of Kids’.  We ask that each child planning to participate in the NPC children’s program have at least one parent present.  Our first yummy dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:30, and confirmation class is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. 

Chancel Choir and NPC Ringers also resume September 8^th.  New singers and ringers are always welcome.  Come check out the music program. 

The next Military Care packages are scheduled for assembly next Sunday, September 12 following 11:00 o’clock worship.  Extra copies of last week’s insert about the men and women who are serving the country are on the table in the narthex. 

Thank you Harrison and Tommie Jahn, Laurie Hughes, and Carol Lundeen who worked in the Hickory Soup Kitchen the last Tuesday in August.
